October Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month 2026:
Every Baby Loss Matters Campaign, Landmark Lightings & Free Support Across All 50 States

Infertility Is Baby Loss. Miscarriage Is Baby Loss. Stillbirth Is Baby Loss. Every Baby Loss Matters This October.

Every October, Chasing the Rainbows leads the nation in honoring every baby gone too soon during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This October we are proud to announce our most powerful and far reaching awareness campaign in our history — the Every Baby Loss Matters national campaign, uniting communities, landmarks, healthcare systems and families across all 50 states in breaking the silence on pregnancy and infant loss once and for all.

Because infertility is baby loss. Miscarriage is baby loss. Chemical pregnancy is baby loss. Ectopic pregnancy is baby loss. Stillbirth is baby loss. Infant loss is baby loss. NICU loss is baby loss. Every single one counts. Every single baby mattered. Every single family deserves support.

Pregnancy and infant loss affects 1 in 4 families yet remains one of the most misunderstood and isolating grief experiences in America. Women are dismissed. Losses are minimized. Families leave hospitals and fertility clinics with empty arms and nowhere to turn. Chasing the Rainbows exists to change that — providing 12 completely free support services to families across all 50 states because no grieving family should ever face a price tag on healing.

In 2025 Chasing the Rainbows supported 10,738 families. In 2026 we have already reached 16,289 families and the year is not yet complete. Our Medical Director is the Director of Maternal Fetal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and our Medical Advisory Council includes leading experts from UCLA, NYU, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins and beyond — united behind our mission because they see every day what happens when bereaved families are left without support.

Here is everything Chasing the Rainbows is doing this October for Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

The Every Baby Loss Matters National PSA Billboard Campaign
Lamar Advertising, one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the United States, has generously donated a national PSA billboard campaign for Chasing the Rainbows running throughout October. Billboards across the country are carrying one clear and powerful message to every community they reach.

Infertility is baby loss.
Miscarriage is baby loss.
Chemical pregnancy is baby loss.
Ectopic pregnancy is baby loss.
Stillbirth is baby loss.
Infant loss is baby loss.
NICU loss is baby loss.
Every Baby Loss Matters.

For a grieving family who has never seen their loss acknowledged publicly, seeing it on a billboard is an act of profound validation. We are bringing that validation to communities across America this October and we are so grateful to Lamar Advertising for making it possible.

400 Landmark Lightings Across All 50 States
On October 15th — Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day — over 400 iconic landmarks across all 50 states will illuminate in pink and blue in honor of every baby gone too soon. State capitols, NFL stadiums, iconic bridges, city halls, hospitals and beloved community landmarks from coast to coast will glow pink and blue as a powerful public statement of solidarity with every family who has experienced pregnancy or infant loss.

Through our Every Baby Loss Matters: Honor Them Out Loud campaign, Chasing the Rainbows is proud to recognize every landmark, hospital, city and community joining us in raising awareness and honoring every baby gone too soon. These pink and blue light-ups serve as visible reminders that pregnancy and infant loss matters, that grieving parents are not alone and that every baby deserves to be remembered.

We invite you to find a landmark near you, visit it on October 15th, take a photo and share it with us tagging @chasingtherainbowsinc and using the hashtag #EveryBabyLossMatters. Your photos become part of a national mosaic of remembrance that honors every baby across all 50 states.

Baby Loss Awareness Week Challenges
Throughout Baby Loss Awareness Week leading up to October 15th Chasing the Rainbows is leading national social media challenges inviting families, healthcare providers and communities to share their stories, speak their babies' names and break the silence on losses that are too often carried alone. Every story shared, every name spoken and every post created is an act of courage that reminds other bereaved families they are not invisible and they are not alone.

We invite every family, every advocate and every community member to join our Baby Loss Awareness Week challenges on social media. Follow us at @chasingtherainbowsinc for daily prompts, challenges and ways to participate throughout the week.

This elegant black tie optional masquerade evening brings together 400 guests including bereaved families, physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, corporate executives and community advocates for a night of remembrance, awareness and hope.

The masquerade theme is deeply intentional.
